The two features have received tremendous liking from iOS users. People used to enjoy sending iMessages with screen effects and bubble effects to add some fun in their chat. Since many users find this glitch on their iOS devices, they raise concerns over social media as well.

How to Fix Screen/Bubble Effects Not Working in iMessage in iOS 10

Update Your iOS Device to iOS 10

Many users may not have updated their iPhones and iPads to the latest iOS version. And therefore, it is suggested that they should ensure that their device is running on iOS 10.

Disable Reduce Motion

Reduce Motion was earlier used to tone down animation effect on your iPhone. You can now toggle it off in iOS 10.

Step #1: Launch Settings app on your iPhone.

Step #2: Tap on General.

Step #3: Tap on Accessibility.

Step #4: Now scroll down and tap on Reduce Motion option.

Step #5: Toggle Reduce Motion OFF.

Now check your iMessages; if they are working properly, have fun. Otherwise, scroll down and read more solutions.

Turn ON & OFF iMessage

While the outgoing iMessages are fair enough, sometimes incoming messages are not seen properly. In this case, you can turn ON and OFF iMessage on your iPhone.

Step #1: Launch Settings app.

Step #2: Tap on Messages.

Step #3: Toggle iMessage OFF.

Step #4: After a few seconds, toggle iMessage ON.

Now you can try sending iMessage with Bubble and Screen effects to check if it is working well. If the problem persists, follow the next workaround.

Are you sending iMessage from Phone Number?

If you are sending iMessages from your email address, you need to stop this and configure your mobile number to send iMessage from.

Step #1: Open Settings.

Step #2: Tap on Messages.

Step #3: Tap on Send & Receive option.

Step #4: Tap your phone number from under “Start New Conversations From”.

If the issue is not resolved, you should delete all emails listed there under the title: YOU CAN BE REACHED BY IMESSAGE AT.

Disable 3D Touch

Sometimes 3D Touch may cause trouble in your iPhone. In this case, I wonder how this feature can create any issue. But there are a few users, who have disabled 3D Touch feature and then the issue is resolved.

Step #1: Launch Settings on iPhone.

Step #2: Tap on General.

Step #3: Tap on Accessibility.

Step #4: Tap on 3D Touch.

Step #5: Disable 3D Touch.

If the issue is solved after disabling 3D Touch, you should enable it again on your iPhone. Note that 3D Touch feature works only on iPhone 6s/6s Plus and iPhone 7/7 Plus.

Reboot iPhone

If you are using iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, note that Apple has introduced a small change to reboot the latest iPhone 7 and 7 Plus device.

For other iPhones, follow the same old method to reboot your device. Press and hold Home and Power button simultaneously until you see blank screen. Still hold both buttons and release upon seeing Apple logo.

Restore iPhone

Restoring iPhone or iPad is one of the most boring tasks, but one has to undertake this procedure to get rid of issues. Before you restore your device, take backup of the device either on iCloud or iTunes.

Reset All Settings

This is another safer option to fix the issue without losing any media/data.

Step #1: Launch Settings on iPhone.

Step #2: Tap on General.

Step #3: Scroll down and tap on Reset.

Step #4: Next tap on Reset All Settings.

Step #5: Your iPhone may ask you to enter passcode if you have set up any. Tap on Reset All Settings to confirm.

Now check iMessage by sending one with bubble effects. If it works, you don’t need to wait for another 24 hours.

Wait, Wait, Wait…

Everybody hates wait, but this is the final solution before you need to take your iPhone to Apple Store. Wait for 24 hours and if luck smiles on you, this issue will be resolved and you will be able to send bubble effects on iMessage.
