How to Install New Games on NES Classic Edition

If you belong to Generation X, you must be aware of Nintendo Entertainment System, which was first introduced in 1985 by Nintendo. Very recently, the same company has launched its Classic edition for game lovers. This is NES Classic, which is now available on the market.

The classic edition has got that original look and feel; however, it is smaller, sleeker and has pre-loaded 30 games. And these pre-loaded games include your favourite Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, PAC-MAN, Dr. Mario, Mega Man, Final Fantasy, and others.

But for real gaming lovers, 30 games are not enough as they want more to satiate their hunger to play games. And therefore, NES community offers you a solution to install new games on NES classic.

Before you go ahead with the method, you need to have Windows 7+, .NET Framework 3.5.

How to Add Games on NES Classic Edition

Step #1: First off, download hakchi2 and unzip.

Step #2: You are not required to install this hakchi2; simply unzip it on your computer.

Step #3: Next, you need to check saved ROMs and make a decision as to which ROM you wish to install on the NES Classic.

Step #4: Now locate the box art; you can use your own box art or check it on Google by pressing GUI button to search automatically.

Step #5: This is the time you should connect your NES Classic with your computer via Micro-USB cable. You will be entered into FEL mode; leave the console turned off.

Step #6: Press and hold the reset button. Next, press and release the power button. Release the reset button after a couple of seconds.

Step #7: Here, you would be able to press the sync button in hakchi2 program. If you fail to get FEL mode right, the program will inform you.

Step #8: Finally, reboot the NES Classic.
