How to Reboot iPhone 7 and 7 Plus Apple Introduces a Small Change

Home button in the latest iPhone 7/7 Plus has got many new responsibilities. The button is now force sensitive like a Force Touch track pad you must have used in your MacBook laptops. The two new iPhones are also equipped with Taptic Engine haptic feedback system from Apple Watch. And not to forget that users will feel a different vibration feedback for alerts.

But unlike earlier iPhones, this Home button doesn’t have any role in rebooting or restarting iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It seems that Apple is taking the burden off Home button, bit by bit.

Note that Home button will be used while capturing screenshot on your iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. But if you want to reboot or restart your iPhone 7/7 Plus, there is a different method you have to apply.

How to Reboot or Force Restart iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Step #1: First off, press and hold Power button (On/Off button) on the right side of your iPhone7/7 Plus.

Step #2: While you have got the hold of that Power button, press and hold Volume down button on the left side of your iPhone.

Step #3: As you have pressed and held the both buttons, the phone’s screen will turn off; keep holding the buttons until screen turns back on and Apple logo appears.

It is done! Your iPhone 7/7 Plus will reboot on following the above steps. This method is quite different than the one you used to employ on previous iPhones. However, it is equally easy to restart the latest iPhones.
