Slide to unlock is something you miss in the latest iOS 10. Since long, you have been sliding your iPhone screen to unlock and therefore, it is difficult to adopt this new habit of tapping Home button twice to access home screen in iOS 10. Till the date, Home button was used to wake up screen; with the latest iOS 10 update, users have to tap home button two times. This obviously creates extra pressure on Home button. So what to do to bring back slide to unlock in iOS 10?
If you have set up Touch ID, you can simply press the Home button once and you can access the home screen. But not all users like to set up Touch ID on their iPhones. They are still comfortable to swipe screen of iPhone or iPad to unlock the device. They wish they could get back slide to unlock in iOS 10.
To use slider to unlock your iPhone or iPad, you need to Jailbreak iOS 10.2 on iPhone and iPad by using Yalu and Cydia Impactor. Once you Jailbreak your iOS device, follow the steps mentioned below to get slide to unlock back in iOS 10.

Step #4: Now you need to tap ‘Install’ and then ‘Confirm’.
Step #5: Finally, tap ‘Restart SpringBoard’.

How does this new ‘slide to unlock’ work?
Note that when you wake up your iOS device by pressing power or home button, you will still see ‘Press home to unlock’ screen. In a non-Jailbroken iPhone or iPad, swiping right will bring ‘Today View’. In this case, you will find the passcode screen, and upon entering the passcode, you can unlock the screen. In case you have not set up passcode, swiping right will land you on the Home screen, i.e. your phone is unlocked.
One benefit you would appreciate is that SlideToUnlock10 retains the functionality of Touch ID; this means, the source will work even as you have enabled Touch ID on your iPhone or iPad.

If you want to use Today View, simply tap on Cancel button when you land on passcode screen. For some unknown reason, Today View cannot be disabled on the lock screen as SlideToUnlock10 requires ‘Today View’.

While you have brought back slide to unlock in iOS 10, you should turn Off Press Home to Unlock in iOS 10 on iPhone and iPad.
