How does this new ‘slide to unlock’ work?
Note that when you wake up your iOS device by pressing power or home button, you will still see ‘Press home to unlock’ screen. In a non-Jailbroken iPhone or iPad, swiping right will bring ‘Today View’. In this case, you will find the passcode screen, and upon entering the passcode, you can unlock the screen. In case you have not set up passcode, swiping right will land you on the Home screen, i.e. your phone is unlocked.
One benefit you would appreciate is that SlideToUnlock10 retains the functionality of Touch ID; this means, the source will work even as you have enabled Touch ID on your iPhone or iPad.

If you want to use Today View, simply tap on Cancel button when you land on passcode screen. For some unknown reason, Today View cannot be disabled on the lock screen as SlideToUnlock10 requires ‘Today View’.
