Packed with 54 music services, Sonos One is surely leading the pack in smart speakers category. While Amazon’s Echo devices and Google Home have limited strength to befriend with other music services, people would love to integrate Apple Music, Spotify songs and playlists on their Sonos One. The brand is the first high-end product that offers default Alexa in the smart speaker. Want to enjoy music from different services? By this workaround, you can use Apple Music on Sonos One, though Sonos One doesn’t have built-in Siri as you might enjoy on HomePod. The brand itself has rolled out its app so that you can stream your Apple Music albums and songs on Sonos One. It goes without saying that the app is compatible with your iOS devices. Apart from playing Apple Music songs, you can also queue up songs and playlists from services like Spotify and Apple Music.

Once the song started playing on Sonos one speaker, you can use Amazon Alexa on your Sonos One to control your music.

When your Sonos One begins to play songs or playlists, you can control music by using Alexa on Sonos One. The reason is that Alexa supports commands to control any current video. You can use commands like:

  • Alexa, quieter/louder.
  • Alexa, stop/pause/play.
  • Alexa, next song.
  • Alexa, previous song.

In this tutorial, we have dealt with two popular music services; however, the same method should also work with other music services Sonos support; the speaker doesn’t care if the service has an Alexa skill or not.
