With Apple Watch Series 3, Apple entered into the world of smart watch with cellular service. Unlike Apple’s earlier smart watches, the Series 3 allows users to use their smart watch independently (without piggybacking on iPhone). While celebrating the heydays of freedom, Apple Watch users must remember that the watch has to rely on iPhone for some basic purpose. How to Change Carriers on Apple Watch Series 3
If you have already switched to a different carrier on your iPhone and want to connect with the same carrier on Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), follow the steps.
Step #1: Open Watch app on the paired iPhone.
Step #2: Next, tap on My Watch option and choose cellular.
Step #3: This will switch your carrier plan automatically on Apple Watch Series 3.
If you wish to add a new plan, simply tap on Add a New Plan and follow instructions as seen on the screen of your watch.
Your Apple Watch will join the new plan.
How to Remove Cellular Plan on Apple Watch Series 3
Step #1: Open Watch app on your paired iPhone and then launch My Watch tab.
Step #2: Now tap on Cellular.
Step #3: Next, tap on (i)icon seen next to your Carrier under CELLULAR PLAN section.
Step #4: Here, you are required to tap on Remove (carrier) Plan; tap again to confirm your action.
If you do not want to pair both devices again, you should contact your mobile operator to cancel your cellular plan.
Remember: At the time or erasing and unpairing your watch, you will be presented with an option to remove the cellular plan from Apple Watch. At this, you can select Erase All to remove the plan.
