How to Share Your Real Time Location in WhatsApp on iPhone

Step #1: Launch WhatsApp on your iPhone.

Step #2: Open a chat (you can share your Live Location in group or individual chat).

Step #3: Now tap on ‘+’ icon on the left.

This will show five different options: Camera, Photo & Video Library, Document, Location, and Contact.

Step #4: You need to tap on Location.

A map will open up with your current location; below this map, you will find Share Live Location option. Simply tap on this WhatsApp Live Location feature.

Next, you need to select time duration for which you have to share your Live Location with your contacts or groups. Select the time and then tap on send button.

How to Stop Sharing your Live Location with the WhatsApp Contact or Group

Step #1: Open WhatsApp on your iPhone.

Step #2: Tap on the contact or group with which you have shared your Live Location.

Step #3: Here, you will find an option to Stop Sharing on the map.

Simply tap on Stop Sharing option; a pop-up will appear so that you can confirm you action.

Step #4: Tap on Stop Sharing again.

Step #1: Open WhatsApp on your Android phone.

Step #2: Select a contact or group with whom you want to share your Live Locaction.

Step #3: Now tap on Attachment icon seen in the typing area.

Step #4: This will open a menu with options to share different things like Document, Camera, Gallery, Audio, Location and Contact. You need to tap on Location.

A map will open up with your current location, and below this, you will find ‘Share live location’ option.

Step #5: Tap on ‘Share live location’ option.

Step #6: Choose the time duration for which you want to share your Live Location with your WhatsApp contacts/groups.

Add comment if you wish and then tap on Send button.

If you have not enabled Location feature on your Android device, WhatsApp will prompt you to do this in the middle of this process.

How to Stop Sharing Real Time Live Location in WhatsApp on Android

When you share your WhatsApp Live Location, you can see an option to Stop Sharing live location.

Step #1: Tap on Stop Sharing option on the shared location.

Step #2: You may be prompted to confirm your action.

Step #3: IF you want to stop sharing your WhatsApp Live Location, simply tap on STOP.
