App Store on your iPhone and iPad is not frequently opened icon, but users need to open App Store to download and update apps and to make some purchases. And when they find that App Store icon disappeared on iPhone and iPad, they run amok to get back that missing App Store icon. I have recently met with this situation and I want to share with you how I brought back App Store icon missing on iPhone and iPad.
All you need to do is follow the tips and tricks given in this tutorial to restore disappeared App Store icon. When you don’t see App Store icon on your iPhone or iPad, the first thing you need to check is Restrictions (Parental Control) on your device. Normally, I use this feature to prevent kids from using FaceTime and Camera app on my device.
How to Fix Missing App Store Icon on iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 6(s), 6(s) Plus, 5, 5s, SE and iPad Pro and Air
Users tend to restrict App Store access on their iPhone and iPad. If you have accidentally restricted the access to App Store on iOS devices, follow the steps given below.
Step #1: Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad.
Step #2: Tap on General.
Step #3: Next, tap on Restrictions.
Step #4: You need to enter your Restrictions passcode here. (Follow this guide to reset restriction passcode.If you just don’t remember restrictions password then do check this guide)
Step #5: This will show a list of apps; you should check that Installing Apps toggle is ON. If it is not on, simply turn it on.
Reset Home Screen Layout
Resetting home screen layout will change the position of icons on your iPhone or iPad.
Step #1: Launch Settings on your iPhone/iPad.
Step #2: Tap General → Reset.
Step #3: Now you need to tap on Reset Home Screen Layout option.
You will be asked to confirm your action; tap on Reset Home Screen again.
Note that when you Reset Home Screen, some of the apps you have packed into folders will come out of that folders.
Reset All Settings
Haven’t got any positive result yet? No worries. You can go for Reset All Settings. This will remove all your login credentials, Wi-fi passwords; however, your data and media will not be deleted. So go for resetting your iPhone and iPad to factory default.
Step #1: Go to Settings → General → Reset.
Step #2: This will open a list of reset options; you need to tap on Reset All Settings.
Step #3: You may be asked to enter your device passcode here; simply type in the passcode and confirm your action.
Your iOS device will restart and when the home screen appears, check the App Store.
Update Software
It has been noticed that Software Update has fixed many such petty issues on iPhone and iPad. In the last resort, you can go for Software Update when App Store icon is missing on your iPhone or iPad.
Step #1: Launch Settings → General → Software Update.
Step #2: Tap on Download and Install, and then update your device.
